ADAM TUROWIEC obtained his M.Sc. from the University of Technology in Bydgoszcz (ATR), Poland. Since 1998 he has worked with the Institute of Communication and Information Technologies Ltd. (ITTI) in Poznan, Poland - currently as its business development director. In 2000 he additionally began his work as an academic teacher at ATR, where he specialised in wireless communications and works on his PhD. In 2003 he moved to Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan, where he works at the Applied Informatics Dept. He has managed a number of national and international projects related to mobile communications, distance learning, flexible working, and state-of-the-art IT industry tendencies, technology transfer and dissemination of knowledge on innovative technologies and tools to the Polish industry, e.g. preparation of Monographic Report on external support for the Polish SMEs. He led two 5FP IST projects and manages two on-going 6FP SSAs. He is the co-ordinator of ITTI's projects within the Phare programme aiming at increasing technological innovation and quality control in the sector of small and medium enterprises. Since 2004 he is also a vice-chair of the AMI@Work Community - a self-governing body of most active participants of European R&D. He is an author or co-author of several articles and publications, as well as presentations at national and international conferences.
