Armands Strazds Short CV Armands Strazds (*1970) is researcher and lecturer of Riga Technical University where he teaches Algorithmic Composition and IT Telecommunications. Since March 2005 he leads a European Commission's national e-Twinning activity in the Ministry of Education and Science of Latvia. Scientific interests of Armands Strazds as expressed in his ongoing PhD studies include: e-Learning in Ambient Intelligence Landscapes, ubiquitous technologies and network trust systems. In the year 2000 Armands Strazds together with Modris Tenisons was the co-author of the EXPO 2000 project ZIME presented as the central component of the pavilion of Latvia. During the years 1992-2002 Armands Strazds used to live in Germany (Lubeck, Bremen, Berlin) where he graduated from the Music Academy Lubeck with M.A. degree in composition/algorithmic composition and was subsequently employed by multiple German state and private software companies as programmer, project manager and his own software developments licenser. In the Embassy of Latvia in Germany he held a referent and cultural manager position. Currently Armands Strazds is also director and board member of ZIME Fund and a successful composer. |
